Steve Harrar is the Managing Partner of the firm and the partner in charge of the Financial Advisory Services. He has close to 25 years of experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, forensic accounting, litigation support and consulting for both public and private companies.

Steve has served as an expert witness, and has testified before the Québec courts. He has also authored numerous articles relating to business valuations in private companies and various models of mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he is the Chair of the Nexia Canada Mergers & Acquisitions Committee.

Steve was a lecturer at McGill University in financial accounting and has presented at conferences in the areas of enterprise values in buy and sell transactions and employee succession planning, In addition, Steve has chaired many seminars in the areas of valuation if intangible assets and goodwill impairment, red flags in investigating white collar frauds, and expert’s consultant to the legal committee.

He is the seminar coordinator of the Montreal chapter of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (“CICBV”) and was the Chair of the 2007 CICBV annual conference in Montreal. Steve is also the President of the Montreal chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. In addition to being a Chartered Accountant, Steve is a Chartered Management Accountant, a Chartered Business Valuator and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
